Watermelons

This is not a post on the fruit I really really like (although it lacks real taste, somehow), but about the Watermelon award. It says here that it means that the person thinks your blog is a grand read - that your watermelons are a 10!

Thank you, Mary Ellen!

Now what am I supposed to do? Pass it on, of course, to other appreciated blogs. I will, I promise. I'll just sleep on it before I do that.

There is another thing in Mary Ellen's latest post which I really like: the idea of "no obligation blogging". Not that I ever write anything like “I’m sorry I haven’t posted in awhile.” I don't because I really don't think anyone has missed me so much. I also like writing when I really feel like it. And that is the whole idea.

  1. Watermelon...omg, it is another one of my favorites. I get a good one every now and then. They grow them pretty close to where I live, so it is not too hard to find a good one. Gosh, I am wanting one now.:)

Btw, I miss you when you are not posting. I am a lot the same way, I don't care to post just for the sake of posting something. It is what I feel like I am doing sometimes. I don't post much personal stuff on the internet and sometimes, it is hard for me to come up with something.

    xoxo

  2. You miss me? Aawwww... :)
Still, I think I should be posting when I feel I have something to write. I'm sure you agree.
    xoxo to you, too! :D

  3. I like watermelon. Sometimes I will eat chunks of it for lunch, all by itself. Yummy!

  5. Of course we miss you when you're not posting! But, that doesn't mean you should feel obligated to post. I couldn't this weekend and I normally post on Sunday. At first I was going to apologize, but then I thought, everyone who has a life understands why it doesn't get done sometimes...and it's ok because that means we're actually living our full lives, and hopefully enjoying ourselves! :)

Congrats on your watermelon award; you deserve it!!

  6. Congrats on the Watermelon Award, you certainly deserve it!

Seeing all that watermelon makes me hungry for Watermelon and Rollkuchen (direct translation would be rolled cookie, it's a deep fried dough, similar to donuts only not sweet and it's rolled out into straight strips, then fried). I haven't made that in a couple of years, gonna have to do it again soon, now that it's perfect watermelon eating weather :D
